Since the other thread from Hippiewan turned into a DVD thread I thought I would start a new. I found another source for parts: GSCMOBILE. Their prices are not the best on most stuff but they have access to some good parts:

Discontinued-so limited supply

CA20281-B00X St1200 HDD Flex Cable 23.33
CA31292-D023 St1200 Card Door Assembly 5.67
CA31292-D095 ST1200 HDD COVER ASSEMBLY 23.33
CA31292-Y004 ST1200 I/O CONNECTOR DOOR 5.67
CA31292-Y011 ST1200 DIMM COVER 5.67
CA31292-Y182 ST1200 BATTERY DOOR 5.67

They also have:

FMW25TRG1 ST1200 SYSTEM S/W AND CONFIG UTILITIES GUIDE 33.33
FMW25TRG2 ST1200 H/W TECHNICAL REFFERENCE GUIDE 33.33

They carry other stuff too but the prices bite hard (333.33 for the 64meg ram upgrade).

I ordered the 3 of the I/O doors and an extra card door.
They said about 2 weeks or less for delivery.

Just talk to Brian at GSCMOBILE if you want the complete list.

Here is the text from Hippiewan so we can keep it together:

Well...Dayyyyyymnnnn. Blows my group purchase buy idea to bits.

*Which* replicator is this? There's more than one and they don't all include the USB port.

I'll email the guy...

(See Granny's sig for my comment here.)

From their site:

Port Replicator
For simple, snap-on connection to a wide range of peripherals, attach the port replicator to the Stylistic 1200 to provide standard ports for the following: external monitor; keyboard; parallel device; 2 full RS-232C serial devices; external floppy disk drive; DC input power; PS/2-style mouse; USB (Universal Serial Bus, 2 ports); microphone jack (stereo); headphone jack (stereo); audio line-in and line-out jacks. Install the provided port replicator plate to allow the best fit when used with the folding desk stand, in portrait or landscape orientation.

That's the one. Maybe setup a group purchase on this. Granny, any idea what you were thinking of letting the replicator(s) you might be selling go for?

Eagle, where'd you get pricing anyway?

Great information Eagle but how about a few more details. I found GSCMOBILE on the web but if you have a specific phone number and extension or email address for Brian it would be helpful.

Fellas - I just bought the ST-1200 PORT REPLICATOR for $75...and it's the one with a pair of USB ports on it. It just came in today and I cracked it open to take a peek and see what connected to the USB. It's pretty cramped in there and I'm pretty rotten at chasing wires. There were a few surface mount resistors (I assume) that were by the USB ports, but that was about it. I'll try and take some pictures, but the macro capability on my camera sucks.

FWIW, I talked to David Jeter at dbjeter@surplustech.com. Bought it Tuesday morning and it was here today. I would have like cheaper, but this is for my dad and he's itching to have it sent to him.

Just called Brian and he was saying they dropship from Fujitsu. Unless I'm mistaken Fujitsu are in Santa Clara in the SF Bay Area, so I'm wondering if they have some kind of factory outlet on their premises.
Anyone know ?
It might be worthwhile investigating that because he said shipping might be up to $20 for the I/O door !
