Just wondered if there's any software out there that would enable me to use the stylistic as an IR remote to control .... everything with an IR remote basically.
That would be cool. Yes it's big for a remote but if you're going to have it in your lap anyway.....
I've thought about this too, but although I've found an IR remote app for my Palm (which doesn't work very well, btw) I have yet to see one for Win95/98.
When I tried this program (remocon) on my 1200 all I get is a "com port already in use" error. I even disabled IrMon using MSConfig and the problem persisted. Nothing else seems to be grabbing the port...
I don't enable IRDA unless I'm using it, so when I tried Remocon it was already disabled. Like I said, I went one step further and made sure IrMon was not loading (using MSConfig) and rebooted and still got the same error - can not open communications port.
For those of you who are gonna give me the standard tech solutions - they've already been tried. No Phantom ports in safe mode, nothing grabbing the ports in system.ini. I am a computer tech by trade...
