help with a dying pen

For some reason, my pen seems to decide to stop working. It will work fine for a while, but then seemingly out of the blue it stops working. If I plug up a mouse and reinstall the software, it will work again for another couple of weeks. I'm really confused as to why this is happening. I can't isolate anything specific I've done on the days before it stops working that might mess up the drivers. However, it does seem to be a Windows issue because the pen still works in the bios and even on the contrast/brightness/sound/etc buttons, but it won't work on the screen. I'm completly baffled and would appreciate any help that anyone could give. Thanks

I have a Pen question, Just got a Stylistic 1200 and the pen wasn't working so I replaced the pen battery and it worked fine. I left the pen overnight in the tablet and in the morning the pen no longer worked. I installed another pen battery and the pen worked again. But I'm afraid it will die quickly as well. Has anyone had this experience before?

Does this sound like something's shorting out in the pen? Even so, the battery should last more than 14 hours? no?

Any help or ideas would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Mitch

I have only replaced one pen battery...see the other link about batteries.

Most likely your pen is pushing on something while stored...so it is always transmitting...and using up the battery.

thanks for the response. i think i've figured it out, the pen isn't that tight on the inside so I don't think it was making complete contact.

I really tightened it up, and now both batteries seem to work.
