Ummm, nope. It doesn't work after all.
I tried several different contortions, but couldn't get any pen activity in a fullscreen DOS session, or even when re-booted in DOS mode, using Edit as a test program. It still picks up the mouse emulation when the DOS session is in a window, just as before, but not full screen.
penmouse.com loads without blowing anything up, but doesn't seem to see the pen.
The popup keyboard shows on screen just fine, but doesn't respond to the pen at all.
Sigh... Damn shame. It'd be kinda cute, at least.
I still would like to know if folks that have loaded Linux on their machines are achieving full functionality and reliability, including mouse emulation, handwriting recognition, and software keyboard?
I don't really care which operating system I use since my main application is as a simple book-reader. It's obvious the DOS and Windows support for these units is just about broken, given Fujitsu's abandonment. If it works under Linux then I'll be content.
