Hi eveyone,
I've got some problems setting up the right button of the pen.
I tried xinitrc method with xsetpointer and xmodmap but it doesn't seems to work.
I'm using a Gentoo (kernel 2.6.3-r1) with XFree 4.3 and gdm / fluxbox (that's why I need a right button)
If someone could help me configuring XFree, that would be great.

I had a hell of a time getting this working myself on my 2300, I'm sure it's a simliar problem. I finally had to resort to compiling my own XFree86 4.3.99 (or whatever the last RC before 4.4.0 was) that includes the fpit driver, and then doing an xmodmap -e 'pointer = 1 3 2'. Dunno why, but the barrel button was acting like a middle click instead of a right click and the xmodmap fixed that.
I have a pre-compiled and ready to make-install compile of the source somewhere, lemme know if you want it and I'll find somewhere to stick it. It's a bit big though.

I have also this problem ,i use wmaker and for clip i need the secand button.
I use Xfree4.3 with the debian - own fpit.
I have try xev.
First time i get with the secand button a "Button 56"
This is only if i have no option for "CorePointer, Buttons, SendCoreEvents or so" have set.
The secand time i have get a "Button 51" without the same Options. ?????
I have try this <modmap -e "pointer = 1 51"> without succes. Only the first button not work.
What going wrong?
Or shall it be <modmap -e "pointer = 1 2"> ?
how work xmodmap? must i set this? xmodmap -e "pointer = 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 ........ 0 2" to 51?
The fpit not allow many buttons some times, p.e. if i set some options see above.
