Does the Stylistic 1200 require 16v? Would 12v from a filtered car cigarette lighter adpater work?

Would it be possible to use an external helper battery like in a back pack or belt pack something.

What is the polarity on the Stylistic 1200 plug?

yes, it needs 16v, I used 2 9v batteries to make it think it was 16v and it worked but as soon as I removed the extra voltage it wouldn't run on 12v (14.4 with the car running). So, we need to get a dc to dc power supply. The center of the plug is positive and the outside is groung.

It's own internal battery is only 10.8. Wonder what gives?
