| I finally finished upgrading my 3400 to Slackware 10.2 (from 10.0) and Freerock gnome 2.12.1 (from 0.2.2-2.20.2), and finally remembered to go in and make sure my fpit_passive installation was still good (/etc/serial.conf, /etc/X11/Xorg.conf, etc.) so the pointer now responds to to the touchscreen, but it's working in no way that I would call intuitive. No matter where I touch the touchscreen, the pointer's bouncing around like a rubber ball, usually at the edges of the screen.
What am I missing?
Incidentally, massive Slackware upgrades over NFS link? Not recommended. For my Slackware 10.0->10.2 and FRG 0.2.2-2.10.2->2.12.1 updates, it took better than 48 hours over a 100 Mbps Ethernet. I might try it over Gigabit someday, but only when I'm reeeeeally bored.
