I am trying to get my point 510 to install windows but I cannot get a C: promt at all. It post fine and then goes to the Summary Screen. When I have the windows 95 install files on the hard disk I cannot get a c prompt just the summary screen and a message saying. Remove Media and press any key to restart or something like that. I have the disk formatted as DOS boot disk using HP Reformat Tool, and loaded the win95 boot disk files to the drive. When I try to run DSLinux (loaded like explained on http://www.pendrivelinux.com/2007/01/02/all-in-one-usb-dsl/) it will go to the screen where you can set boot options, so I use dsl lowram and press enter it says Uncompressing Linux.... Ok, booting the kernel. Then just shows that screen and a blinking cursor, and the caps lock and scroll lock buttons on the keyboard blink on and off. I have a toshiba 20gb hard drive. the unit is stock otherwise. What is going on here and how can I get it to boot to c: prompt and or finish loading linux? thanks
