hey, we put in a USB port on my stylistic last night, and we did it without ruining the ipex connector. basicly, we pulled out one set of usb pins, and solderd to them. if i need a port replicator, the connector still works, but one usb port wouldn't. however, since i'm never going to use a port replicator, we put the USB port itself where the gold battery terminals on the bottem-right were. this spot seems almost like it was made for a USB port, there are plastic walls in the right places and everything. we also made the port disconnectable, just in case i need to get into the case again, i can un plug it. (we used a usb-to-motherboard plug, the kind you can get anywhere for dirt cheap, not the kind the other hack used) i've gotten a webcam to work (though not very well) and a mouse. this project is not for the faint of heart!
i have pictures, which i'm uploading right now. also, i found a harsh enviroment case at a hole-in-the-wall store (next door to one of fujitsu's buildings) for a stylistic 500, and it fits the 1200 perfectly, the screen lines up and everything. they had a few more, i think i'm going to go pick them up pictures of that will be up too.
