What do you all recomend for a OS setup, I've compiled everything I could find for drivers, and utilites for the 1200, I should have mine in a few days. I'll be pulling the harddrive and setting up from scratch, any recomendations on OS, I have 95oem2, 98se, and ME.

I'll assume the best way to setup is pull the hard drive, format /s in 98 or 95, copy all the files, throw it back in, boot, and run setup, laptop options, I've got all the drivers I believe they are the 95 setups though (pen services, ect..) (now where did that 95 boot disk go??)

I'll have a set of homefree diamond wireless cards also (cant beat the price, they are junk but cheap) anybody used them in a 1200? If the units perform as I expect, I'll have 3 of them within 25' of each other, line of site or though a plaster wall, should be ok.

I was going to buy another palm, but I cant figure out why I would want to now, the palm3 works great (simple does the job) and this is small enough to travel & runs a full OS, cant beat it! I have a feeling I'll be collecting a few of these things!

Thanks in advance Mega

I used 98Se, ME is a monster, I won't touch it. Just remember copy all drivers(network cards, pen services...) to HD before put it back to 1200. I forgot to do so, and my hd adapter burnt out after I copied Windows setup files, I can't copy any file from my desktop. Fortunately I have Sony memory stick and PCMCIA adapter card, and use them to transfer the driver files.
