How to?

Okay, I'm looking for a simple how-to on modding the Juicebox. Prpplague appears to have taken it the furthest, but I don't see any pics or how-tos I don't want something for nothing -- I'd be willing to send a neon green juice to someone that posted a nice how to.

I've gutted one of my boxes and built a pretty nice frame for it (I figured it's a cheap and easy LCD picture frame) but I don't want that damn Juicebox boot logo, and I'd love to do plain ole jpegs.

I have no Linux abilities, but I'm murder with a soldering iron, so if someone provided the software and the directions I'd be ready to go.

i'm currently testing 3 different methods for modding the juicebox main board. i'm also in the process of moving. as soon as i have a procedure that can be easily reproduced, i'll post a howto as well as pics.

prpplague,

What are the mods? :) If you want to run the mods by me I can test them out before going out for mass consumption.

I plan to socket my 44 pin TSOP flash as it will be easier to swap different flash parts in and out for development. I can use other boards wilth jtag to program if need be. I havnt looked up the datasheet yet to see what the pinout is like. I hope its like the AMD, MX parts vs the Intel parts because I have tons of them.

I plan to add serial and a JTAG connector for my Jeeni box. I understand that stock image on the units dont have serial compiled in so nothing will comeout. This will have to be enabled in the uClinux config file. BTW: Martin Siu is going to create a patch agianst the CVS for uClinux. I have compiled the released juicebox build but havnt done anything with it. I guess it wont do much since serial and JB app is not in it. The released image didnt include the romfs so I just grabbed one from my S3C44B0X build directory. I also have a dev board from:
http://anyway.no-ip.org:8080/ep/44B0db/44B0db.htm

PS: I'm looking for a second unit with the TSOP flash. (no-LED)

i'm testing three different pcb's that i've laid out and had proto's made. one with just flash, one with flash and jtag, and one with flash+jtag+mmc

once i test the viability of using them i'll post some info
