Not a chance the JuiceBox will play MP4/Divx, at least without serious re-encoding(then there's no real point in using MPEG4). The little ARM7TDMI processor in the JB isn't powerfull enough to decode video of a remotely large size and speed. There's no CF interface by default, you'd have to manipulate the GPIO pins, and do some serious soldering to add one.

It sounds like you want something like the small mp4 player, like the ones sold on ebay under the MP3 player catagory (Consumer Electronics > MP3 Players & Accessories > MP3 Players). Often times a MP4 player of roughly the same size of the JB goes for less than you're offering for the "mod chip" itself. The MP4 players have a dedicated chip just for decoding video, which is how they can pull off playing video encoded for desktop systems.

has anyone thought of compiling VideoLan or something and throwing it on a sd card with the video file to see if it will run when inserted (or with a script), like an autoboot? since it runs mount on boot.
also will it automount the sdcard while on? (will be picking one up at walmart this week to break)
it runs linux right?

sooooo.... do I believe in true science which is tested by more than one person(s) or groups till its (proven) true, or do I believe in consensus science, the not so scary version so I can sleep at night science?
