| Not a chance the JuiceBox will play MP4/Divx, at least without serious re-encoding(then there's no real point in using MPEG4). The little ARM7TDMI processor in the JB isn't powerfull enough to decode video of a remotely large size and speed. There's no CF interface by default, you'd have to manipulate the GPIO pins, and do some serious soldering to add one.
It sounds like you want something like the small mp4 player, like the ones sold on ebay under the MP3 player catagory (Consumer Electronics > MP3 Players & Accessories > MP3 Players). Often times a MP4 player of roughly the same size of the JB goes for less than you're offering for the "mod chip" itself. The MP4 players have a dedicated chip just for decoding video, which is how they can pull off playing video encoded for desktop systems. | |
