Has anyone been able to wire up an rs232 chip to the serial port and connect to the console? I built a new max232 (maximic.com) and couldn't make Hyperterminal make a connection to the box. If you've been successful please let us know and if you can please let us know what setup you used.

the uart i/o for the samsung is operating at 3.3v so you will need to use a max3232 not max232

secondly the current uclinux filesystem does not have a getty running on any of the uarts. if you want to start a application to use a uart, you will need to jtag it over into ram. you will also need to use jtag to set the registers for the uart before it will work.

Heh..Didn't notice that type. I did use a max3232.

That is disappointing about it not being setup out of the box.

Thanks for the info.
