Cannot change to boot device D:
After reseting the BIOS via jumper, D: is never an option for boot sequence

I've been using my ipaq normally for a while, and just decided to try to play with it today. Because I've been using it, I know it's been updated to the newer firmware issued by microsoft. I'm not sure if that's relevant but:

After opening it and resetting the BIOS with the jumper, I plug the appliacne back in and it boots up. Memory count is displayed, and then a message saying that the CMOS checksum is invalid and options are being set to the defaults. If I go into the BIOS immediately after this, the only option available for boot sequence is A:

If I reboot, then A: and C: are available under boot sequence. But under no sequence is D: ever available. I've tried resetting the BIOS quite a few times, and this is always the case. Any ideas?

Make sure you have a CF card in the slot when you reboot. That was the trick for me....

Also make sure you enable everthing in "device options"(?) I'm at work right now so I can't check. It's the menu with the choices to enable "secondary ide" and something about ata100 interface. Then save and reboot. It should autodetect your CF then. The drive D: should show up in the boot sequence after that.
