Ok...I have one more stupid question. I'm a big linux person, but when I think about putting linux on the IA-1 something confuses me. Linux like any OS needs swap or temp space, so does the IA-1 need swap space. After all I though there was a limit to how many times you could write to a CF card. Anyway I'm kind of interested in how this works. Thanks.
swap and /tmp are placed on cramfs partitions in RAM memory, like ramdisks in windoze parlance... when you shut down, they're wiped and gone. the actual physical partitions on the JailBait CF are marked read-only on boot.
