USB harddrive performance and XP compatibility
USB harddrives are awful cheap compared to CF card drives... what kind of performance difference is there?

USB harddrives are awful cheap compared to CF card drives... what kind of performance difference would there be? 10 gigs for 110 bucks sounds like a pretty good deal compared to a much more expensive CF drive. Lots of storage space for MP3s and crap...

Also, I'm probably going to run winME but I was also wondering about maybe trying XP. Anyone given it a shot yet? The quick boot possibilities on both those OS's are why I'd rather choose it over 98se...

I guess I should ask if it works with USB 2.0 first. the USB v1.1 drive claim to have a whopping 8mb/s transfer rate
