Ok, so I've got my companion running with Jailbait and a D-Link 650TX. This is great, but it isn't quite everything I want.

First off, Netscape 4.7 suuuuucks - and I don't mean that in a small way. I could live with its HTML quirks and more innocuous (but plentiful) bugs if it didn't leak memory like a rusty bucket. I prefer to leave a browser window open on an auto-refreshing news website like CNN, but NS 4.x just can't handle this without being restarted frequently. Any suggestions on a light-weight alternative that can render modern websites?

How about sound? Has anyone gotten this to work? I've seen mention of it a couple of times, but no real information on how to do it.

It would also be cool to map the special keys on the top of the keyboard to useful functions.

Thoughts?
