see, i knew you had something to do with the old PC/XT days
i read about the same memory chip piggybacking technique, before finally getting a SixPack expansion card (woohoo!)
jayklm of the Audrey message board attempted to remove and replace the SDRAM chips on his Audrey motherboard with similar but higher-capacity chips, and had no luck
depending on the BIOS and actual physical address lines connected, it should be possible to replace the 32M SDRAM chips, but would require SMD removal and soldering work. other linux-hacker readers have offerred and/or supplied this service, but that was with known good hardware hacks.
maybe codeman can offer some insight on the possibilities?
