| Well, I wish I could verify 300,000 write cycles, but I can't find that info. What I can find is MTBF of >1,000,000 hours [http://www.sandisk.com/oem/cf-spec.htm]. Also, as a comparison the IBM specs are at [http://www.storage.ibm.com/hdd/micro/datasheet.pdf]. There is no MTBF number though :(
BTW, you bring up a very good point. If we are using flash drives as hard drives then they are bound to die quickly. I am thinking IBM's microdrives might be a bit more robust.
