i just ordered an ia-1 from TD, but i just figured this out: i'm not sure if it will work, but, goto msn.com, download msn explorer for yur peecee, then make an account. they'll give you a free @hotmail.com or @MSN.com (hint hint) your choice. try logging in to the ia-1 with yur new msn.com name, then log in as a guest from then on. dont flame me if it dont work!

for a virgin ia-1 you will need an msn account, but i have heard that a hotmail account will work if you logon as guest... i will give the msn thing a try later...

You can actually use a hotmail account on the machine and you don't have to logon as guest. When you create a new local user just specify the hotmail domain. Also, be sure it is an existing account. I was unable to create a new hotmail account on the msn companion. I used another PC to create it.
