I'm working well off an external 128MB flash, I was just wondering what Drive A is? It's bootable in CMOS.
is it a USB floppy/Zip drive? Has anyone tried this?

I can tell you that the USB hard disk I have attached to mine is not detected by the BIOS. I have not tried a floppy, as I don't have one.

The USB hard drive does work spiffy within Win98SE, though.
