First, I got the IPAD at the Be auction. No one else bid on it, and I blurted something out and I became the proud owner of a couple. They do take a good deal of closet space.
I have not been able to get into the BIOS via keyboard methods -- however, I have not yet attempted to clear the CMOS because they boot now, and without having an idea of how to enter configuration I'd rather not change that.
So far I've been finding out how much of a joy it is to try and create a bootable CF image -- the IPAD will APPEAR to boot from the image and sit there at the BIOS screen (different from the IA-2 which just has the Compaq Boot logo). When an improperly formatted image is used, the IPAD will notify me of an Invalid System Disk. Once I get this figured out, I think I'll be able to dump the BeIA image off.
