Not that it matters all that much, but I can't seem to be able to restore the CE.img provided here:
http://www.flyingbuttmonkeys.com/mirrors/IA1/
diskprobe works fine to copy the be images to the CF so there must be something else at play !
thanks

In Disk Probe, make sure you select the DRIVE HANDLE, and not a drive letter.

Yellow,

I know this is off topic but I thought I read a post of yours stating that you had an un-hackable unit. If you didn't,I'm sorry for wasting your time, stop reading. If you did, what did you do it to force it to boot to the CF slot? The reason I'm asking is because I am able to get into the bios, however, the boot order menu only shows the floppy drive and not the hard drive. Do you think that only the boot sequence after the hard drive can be changed on my IA-1? In other words, is this typical of un-hackable units?

Thanks.

BS

no prob, I was doing something wrong. If yo can get into the BIOS, I'd say your unit IS hackable. You do need to have the CF inserted for the BIOS to give you the choice to boot from it. I was doing that part wrong too !
