| I received my IA-1 today, and was happy to find it was hackable. Unfortunately, the display was damaged. I called Compaq, since this is under warranty, and they have already sent me on the run around. Plus, their solution is to send a new unit (which may or may not be hackable).
I've heards several stories of IA-1's getting fried, so I thought there may be a supply of parts in the wild. Would anyone who has one of these dead units be willing to sell or swap me the LCD panel? The one I have works, but has red splotches on it where the LCD is damaged.
