I'm looking for a way to get samba (or nfs) support on my ia1 in linux. I installed the jailbait image, but it does not have support for smb (in kernel or commands). I don't have enough space to compile a new kernel and the samba source on my ipaq.
Has anyone built a distro with samba?
Thanks!

hey..try the new Midori linux image from wildwildwes. u can get it from www.Ia1hacking.com. This is by far the most stable and best image out there. i got mine to mount into my winXP PC with Omni-NFS server running perfectly.

You want to get midori-3.img from the Linux files section of http://ia1hacking.com. It's installed just as you did for jailbait. Presumably you're using dolly on a bootable CF... In that case just write midori-3.img to the CF, boot off it, and do (if memory serves)
dolly midor-3.img hd129:
I'm using samba to mount a large directory of pictures on a win2k PC, which I'm displaying in a continuous loop on the ia1 using xli. Works great!
