Has anyone else had a problem with Midori failing to boot from the internal flash? 3/4 of the time, it halts at "loading...." with a variable number of dots (sometimes it's 4, others 7). If I reset using the power key, it will eventually boot.
It does this both cold and warm. I tested this by leaving the unit unplugged for 24 hours, and the same thing occurred. I have a HCF installed on the CPU, and the surface temp never gets above 83degF. However, *EVERY* other OS boots correctly, every time. Only Linux fails to boot from the onboard flash.
I haven't tried booting Midori from the CF, as I don't have a 16Mb CF card, but both Windows, FreeBSD, and RH Linux 6.2 boot reliably from the microdrive. Doesn't matter what method I use to reboot - the microdrive reliably boots every time. Next try is to load Midori onto a 16Mb CF and see if it boots reliably from that, instead of the internal CF.
The only thing different on my unit from factory is the clock multiplier - I have a K6-III+ running at 400MHz.
