Hmm,

Try this link instead: http://6pack.xs4all.nl/download/be/beiadevkit-25.zip

Yeah, right. 1k/sec and then it hangs after 750k. I tried again an hour later and got a 404.
How about a reliable link?

Due to bandwidth limitations I decided to put the BeIA Development Kit offline. If someone else can host the 52Mb zip file, leave a message for me here.

OK, I'll bite. Let me know where I can get it, and I'll host it on my ADSL link for the next week. :)

The first part is still located at http://www.xs4all.nl/~kajw72/kit1.zip

I've put the second part here http://6pack.xs4all.nl/download/Be/kit1.z01

ScooterPup: Let me know when you got it hosted on your own Web server so I can remove the files.

Hey KingKaj,
Thanks a bunch for the files. Can you tell me what you know about them? I heard that some important files were missing, do you know what exactly thay are? Also, I don't know about the .pkg file extension, what's the best way to install it? Do you format\s a disk and then burn the files to make it bootable? I just got a copy of Be5 Pro, should I install it and then the Devkit on top? Any and all help would be great! Email me at: billy@macramdirect.com and/or send me your email so I can pick your brain a bit more.

Also, I know there was some talk about these files and I can only see their distribution being helpful to the community. I'm thinking I'm going to put them on Kazaa unless someone can convince me otherwise. It seems like the best and safest place for them and for all of us too. Thanks!

If I remember well, you need to install the BeOS DANO release as this supports the USB compactflash units (I used a Sandisk SDDR-31). Then you need to intall the BeIA Dev Kit PKG file.
Using a script provided in the BeIA Dev Kit you can create an image file which can be copied to the Compactflash and then to the IA-1 using the various methods available.
It's been a year or so since I last used BeOS, so I don't remember much more really....

Excellante' Kaj. I liked the idea of putting the Devkit on Kazaa so much that I went and did it myself. You can find it on Kazaa as:

BeIA Devkit.pkg

Please if if anyone downloads it from Kazaa, you must also host it on Kazza since only one copy is nearly impossible to find. If it doesn't show up in a Kazaa search, keep searching again and again until you find it. As it is right now there is only this 1 copy of this file on Kazaa within about 10 billion other files to bury it. Good luck!
