I never could set the clock under Linux. I'm using the Midori image, and although I could set it using the configuration page, the time wouldn't "stick" As soon as I rebooted, the time went back to whatever it would have been that many hours later. Yes, I did remember to "freeze" the configuration, so the timezone was set correctly. This was likely due to the fact that I typically set the hardware clock to GMT when I install FreeBSD, and many operating systems don't like that.

I ended up setting the time from my FreeBSD system to get it to "stick".

Do the Jailbait images have a configuration setup like the Midori images? If so, perhaps this is a bug in the linux images.

I am not exactly sure if the Jailbait has such a configuration page. However, I am more inclined to think somehow the date and time is a "CMOS" thing like most computers. I can hit the Compaq key to go to CMOS but there is no adjustment for that. My problem is some website won't allow me to access because my date shows I am still in 1999!!! Please help!

doesn't Linux include a 'rtc' or 'rtcclock' command to set the time in the onboard hardware real-time clock, based on the current software system date/time?

i'm no Linux expert, but seem to remember something like this, somewhere
(is it just that i read too much, or is old age finally getting to my memory? )
