| I've discovered that the MSN companion, at least using the images floating around now, just doesn't have the RAM for serious browsing. My FreeBSD server, on the other hand, has plenty of disk space and RAM. Right now, I manually slogin to my FreeBSD system and window back Mozilla (which kicks Opera's hindquarters, BTW) I think it's pretty obvious that Mozilla won't fit on the flash, even compressed - but it looks like all the basics of an X terminal could be.
I'm looking into using xdm for the graphical login, but I also want to use NAS to pipe audio back to the system. This way, I don't have to run audio cabling (or horse around trying to run xmms locally)
Has anyone else looked into this? If I get anywhere, I'll post updates in this space. | |
