The worst bit is that it is totally unnecessary. You don't actually have to have a valid MSN account to update the software - just know the local access phone number. Of course, the MSN software is fairly useless without an account, so...

As an aside, if you follow the instructions on the net, deleting the 's' in "https", you will get the latest version of the software. Ignore the version number in the URL.

I believe you may still be able to download a 'clean' MSN V2 image from King Kaj's FTP / web server. Look back through the messages on this board, and you should be able to find it.

If only someone would share an MSN image that uses the workaround (login as gues or something) so I can use my IA-1 with broadband Internet access.

I would like to find someone that has an image file for windows ce since i am using a hitachi HPW600ETM which has windows ce on it . I have everything including the cd and floppy and am more fimuliar with ce so i would like to load a ce image file on this IA-1 that compacq sent me as a replacement today i have contacted msn and its usless unless you pay for their service so i want to change image file on it.
