I contanted sandisk and got the pinout for the compact flash controller. I then soldered magnet wire to this chip and then to an ide cable. Hooked it up to a hard drive and it works great. Right now I'm running a 6.4gb drive using UDMA with no side effects yet.

can_crusher, how can I get the pinout for the SanDisk controller chip? I've looked all over their SanDisk's web site and can't find it. Can you just send it to me? Or can you tell me how you got your copy so I can do the same?
My e-mail is brian_schmalz (at) yahoo.com if you want to e-mail me privately. I'm trying to get my IA1 to have another IDE device on the same IDE controller as the SanDisk controller.
