Are there easier to use OS's for IA-1?

I plan to use the IA-1 for what it was intended for. Easy web use. I need to give some sort of web device to my mom (who does NOT know how to use a computer, period.) I was interested in the form factor of the IA-1 (the lcd and wireless keyboard). The only thing is, since I need to use broadband cable I will need to install another OS, right? The linux jailbait OS looks complicated and not as nice as the one that was designed for it (remember, this is my mother were talking about).

I would like to know of any simple OS's out there for IA-1 or if the MSN OS thats already on there can be hacked to allow ethernet.

One other question...Are there any OS's that support wireless internet connections? Any wireless connection is fine, like 802.11b or HomeRF would do perfectly.

A Windows CE OS would be good as well. Is there one out yet?

funkydude,
there is a thread in here called "the 'right' image" where I posted the same question. If you follow the procedure in there you will end up with an image on your machine that is complete, easy to use and stable. See link below to the thread.

My wife uses it now for a couple of weeks and she is doing fine. The only thing that bugs me is that I have not sorted out a way to make it remember all settings. The settings disapear everytime when the plug is pulled or if there is a power outage.
