I remember a while back, there was a discussion about a CF-IDE adapter that allowed one to connect a laptop hard disk via the CF slot. I have been unable to find anyone who makes these adapters (the vast majority work the other way around).
Could someone help me out with this?

These adaptors have worked for many other people. I'm not sure what type of problems you've had jpe_dty, but they have worked for many other people who have bought them, including me.

Note that there's no way to order it directly from their web site - you have to call them on the phone and tell them what you want. Two of my friends ordered it this way, and the price is actually less than what's quoted on the web site.
