I came across this today. Would have come in handy for me a few months ago :p
Anyway, it's a IDE -> CF adapter that fits in a 3-1/2" bay with a berg power connector. It's an easy way to get a dos formatted CF disk for those of you having trouble with getting images onto your cards. It could possibly work under linux since the system sees it as a hard drive.

Yeah, I got one of these from eBay a few months back and have yet to find the time to play with it.

One caveat: DO NOT HOT PLUG into one of these, IDE busses don't like that at all. You have to shut the computer right off to remove the card.
