| i'm a tech at compaq and i happen to support internet applainces. There are no other computers, like a laptop, that uses the same sceen. I can try and look up the part number for you but i don't think you can use it anywhere becase compaq doesn't make these things anymore. These things break down all the time but its mainly MSN's fault not the computers. Anyway, becuase they stop working i have to send them a new one and then they are supposed to send the old one back. Lots of times they don't, I was talking to one guy and he said he had 7 of them and compaq has never contacted him once to get them back and this was over a 2 year time span. But remember, if you're in warranty, i wouldn't go call compaq and try and get a free unit just becuase you think you can and if you mention anything about breaking a screen your warranty will become void. BTW all IA-1's have a three year warranty and IA-2's have a 1 year warranty in case you want to know (insert wink here). | |
