I don't believe this has been posted before, but I found a second audio connector on my board.

Look at the first picture, where the existing audio connector is, and look below it. Now, look at the rear shot, and notice they're meant for the same connector. What might this do, possibly another audio out, line out, or microphone? I don't honestly know...

Yes, it goes into the I/O Chip as the Headphone Jack does, although it is really hard to trace which wires from which ports go to which pins into the chip. I do have a pinout of the I/O chip though, so I may be able to trace it through to it...

that I'm 100% shure is a mic connector. But ther are a few brakes in the trace to the controler chip. requiring I forget right now but either resisters or caps. I donthave any thing up YET, but by this weekend I should have the start of a web page up. and it should be here http://members.panax.com/bachh/ but NOT till this weekend, 1/4/03
