You can plug those things in but I don't know what if anything would happen. :)

Where did you get this thing? Are there more?

There is information in here somewhere already about those special IA-1s, but you need to seek it out.

TommyBoy69,

See the recently-modified CE1000/Clipper thread for some clues. Did your unit come up with any sign of an O/S or just the (hand) mouse cursor?

I could hit alt q and get into the desktop.. I could use get into the bios.. It has the nic card on the back.. and on the side it has a slot for the CF cards..

It has I think BE loaded on it.

Sounds like you got really lucky there. Does it look like this?

The photo marked "On" is a full BeIA version. Mine just comes up with a small bootloader (BeIA 1.0, then a mostly blank screen).

Another question: Been on the 'net with it yet? Wagner (the Opera cutdown browser thang) is nice to use.

See my post in the "Can you hack a Blue Ipaq?" thread on how
to get yours on the network. It provides the instructions
(although not as fully detailed as possible, as you have to
build your own kernel) to get it on the network.

I can provide my kernel if you need it. Let me know, thanks,

TommyBoy69,

You don't need to load Linux to get onto the net with that unit if BeIA is loaded. It's simply a matter of entering the correct IP/Gateway/DNS into the machine.

See the CE1000/Clipper thread also, it has a few more clues.
