Help with modem in linux!

I have searched these forums and tried everything I have found but I just can't get the modem to work. Does someone have an image with the modem allready working? Or can someone tell me the correct steps to get it working. I tried it on the jailbait image, Sevenn Midori, WildWildWes Midori, and M4I image. I know the modem works because I tested it on the msn image. I would really like to get this working in Midori.
