I am using the midori image from http://m4i.homeip.net/ : m4i-2.3pre1

I have the following questions/problems

1. function keys
I have changed the Xmodkeymap to refer to different function keys e.g. F11 for Opera full screen on the shopping button. But would like to execute a script for different buttons. So I created a new shortcut in the X11 keys file (like the volume up/down) and then added that shortcut to the Xmodmap file. But when I hit the button for my script, X executes all of my new scripts? I added a button for shell and an XMMS playlist but they both get executed?

I copied /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/icewm/keys to /tmp/config/home/.icewm/keys
and then added an Entry for "XMMS xmms "/tmp/share/My Music/rage/*"
and one for a new shell.

When I press the button for XMMS, it first goes to the shell and when I exit I see XMMS?

2. picture frame
If I use XLI I get washed out colours - is there a way to set the colour depth? For both XLI and FBI I cannot view 3 mega pixel pictures (out of memory error I guess) Is there a way to add a swap file onto a samba NFS?

3. remote desktop
can I increase the colour depth? I see that a later version of rdesktop has newer options (like -C) can I run it from a Samba share? instead of rebuilding my image?

4. mp3 - and browsing
seems to crash quite a bit if I use both at the same time. Memory issues again?

If anyone is interested, I was able to use a generic Wireless $50cdn usb adapter with this midori build. It's a nice little black unit about the size of a lipstick - I bought it in Vancouver - made by ECS.

hi

1. don't know, but try with the mpeg123, if you want to play the same mp3 song at starting time

2. I use succefully XV, and I can display 650Ko digital picture, with resizing, over a SAMBA mount
I build my own midori distro starting with the WWES image and adding some JUKEBOX image stuff.

3. never use rdesktop : how to use it ? it is to remote control another linux over the IA or to control IA over another linux ?

4. you can play MP3 with the mpeg123, which don't use more memory (for your problem, I think it was a memory problem)
