Risky to keep (fanless) IA-1 running 24x7

Easy question here.

I have Midori running on a fanless on modded IA-1.
No fans or extra vents on the case.
The button on upper right side on keyboard toggles the display.

Is there any harm leaving the IA-1 continuously powered on?
The top of the IA-1 gets warm but not unusually hot.

Hi

I think that you install a midori image which include the blssd, screen blanker ...
Try to see on /tmp/local/init files ...

I don't remember the file name where this blamker was started

You should probably be find, unless you upgraded the processor. Remember, these machines were designed to run 24/7, though the WinCE software may have put the board into "sleep" mode. I would, however; try to keep the ambient temperature reasonable (don't put it in an enclosed cabinet, etc.)

Unfortunately, my IA-1 has a fan installed in it (a TennMax lasagna cooler), so it isn't a good point of reference, but it's been running 24/7 for months on end with the LCD backlight disabled. It was intended to be an X terminal to allow control of the MP3 player (on the server), but it hardly gets used. In fact, I forgot it was running - until I happened to run arp on the router, and noticed it was up. It had an uptime of 4.5 months! (I had to scratch my head to remember the root password as well...)
