I have been successful at loading the midori v3 image from IAHacking.com. (first try!)
A thanks to everyone whos contributing.
I am redeploying this machine for my mother. She loves her little MSN companion, but
as you all know MS is discontinueing support asap.
First - where is the manual for midori? All the web links point to midori.transmeta.com and that site never responds.
Does someone have a copy saved they could email me? Size is not an issue.
Please write to: ukewarrior@yahoo.com and I'll tell you what email to send it to.
Second, Should the sound be working on my new IA-1 running midori? If yes, how can I test it?
I've ordered a linksys usb100TX adapter and will be trying the network once it arrives.
Is the default image setup to accept a DHCP IP address?
Will the network automatically start on system startup?

thanks for any and all responses in advance.
regards,
ukewarrior

hi

midori image file was mofified to fit into the IA1 ...
you can find information on

http://www.ia1hacking.com/

if you want to insert new drivers / applications / stuff, you should d/l the dev kit and compil
them into the midori image file.

In fact the fash memory don't support direct acces many many time ... around 10000 times ... after what, the flash was unreadable ...

A good midori image to start is the JUKEBOX image, but I don't remember it's real mane, you can certainly find it into IAhacking web site.

you can modify network configuration without recompiling image file, if you follow instruction into the dev kit, and don't miss to freeze your configuration ...

Try some search here ... this topic was solved many times

Godd luke
