Working on new kernel

Ok, I'm working on a new kernel (latest stable 2.4 branch which is 2.4.27), and have it compiled. Also have latest wlan-ng compiled to support DWL-122, etc.

I have NOT made an image yet and tested it, but hope to do so this weekend. I am also hoping to update busybox and a few other programs in the image, and am also considering compiling Mozilla Minimo and testing it instead of Opera. Opera just crashes too many times for my taste.

When I'm done, can someone host not only the image, but the source? I'm not expecting a CVS system set up at this point, but I think it's important to have the source to a given image available. Makes it simpler for developers, etc. to add additional programs and patches to the base image. Keep in mind, the kernel source is LARGE.

I am also considering minimo but can't figure out how to compile it for the 2.4 kernel. Have you set up a chroot jail or are you doing it in VM ware? Let me know if you need any assistance.

Still trying to wrap things up. It's been really busy lately. I have compiled the kernel and wlan-ng, but haven't yet put them in an image and tested them.

Haven't even started on Minimo.

No, I'm not using a chroot'ed jail, since I'm using the same kernel as my desktop is running. Keeps things a bit simpler. Maybe in another couple of weeks.

I haven't gotten to it either, but I have a few old thinkpads kicking arround and I am going to set up a development enviornment on one of them so I can compile Minimo. Right now I am working on a Freeradius/Chilli/Mysql prepaid wireless authentication system but will get back to the IA1s by the end of the week. Anyone else working on Minimo?
