Hey folks (if anyone even reads this...)
I'm sure I am one of the very few people bothering with Midori on the IO these days, but I have some questions I'm hoping someone can help me with...
I've reworked the m4i-2.3 version to my needs, and am stuck at tyring to rebuild the kernel to have a boot logo... I've gotten the kernel source for 2.4.20 and patched it with addpart and cmdline... I am also about to try and build a 2.4.6 from the Midori package... I can't seem to build a properly working kernel even using the config files others have used with no changes...
At best I end up with a working Kernel that has no root console, no log console and Xwindows only shows the right third of the screen... Everything else works... At worst I end up with no Xwindows and big text in the root console...
No changes to the frame buffer settings, but I end up with no penguin either on kernels that you can see the root console, but they don't mount the loopbacks...
I tried to get fancy and strip the kernel down to the bare necessities for my system, but at this point all I want is a working kernel with a custom boot logo...
Any insight or any direction would be truly appreciated...
