Newbee to CF01
What do I need?

I am getting a new CF-01 Monday and am interested in hearing what the essentials are as far as upgrades as well as software. I have a good bit of experiance in the WinCE area but am new here. A few questions:
Comes with Win 95, should I upgrade to 98, ME?
How do I load software to it that is on a CD (Office, outlook, etc)?
Should I invest in a RAM upgrade, if so how much should I get and how do I do it?
Also, I have LAN at work and a cable modem at home . I would like to get a wireless connection for both of these. I don't mind investing in a solution that works, but need something very simple to install. I have read some of the other posts and I get lost pretty quick.

Thanks for any help you can offer,

Tony

I consider my best upgrade to have been 98lite Pro, which allows loading of Windows 98 SE such that the 24Meg of RAM is completely adequate. But to get there I had first to network the CF-01 to my other computer for transferring files over. Good luck.

-I'd stick with Win95, it's all setup with pen services and correct drivers and works fine.
-To load software: use a parallel port zip or cd drive, PCMCIA cd drive (controller on Panasonic PCMCIA sound cards), load from a network shared CD drive over ethernet or direct cable connect.
-24MB RAM is plenty for Win95 and light surfing or office apps (for me anyways). I don't do any heavy multi-tasking though, no more than Opera, ICQ, and Word/Excel open at the same time. Win98 may like more RAM, don't know, haven't tried it.
-I am using some cheap LeArtery wireless cards from justdeals.com (were $50, they are gone now I think) and they were no problem to install.

That's just my two cents, there are of course other legitimate opinions. Good luck!
