Anyone hear of or use MicroTouch TouchWare Software?

I stumbled on a couple of sites that refer to MicroTouch Touchscreen Software. Apparantly this combines a number of features (including handwriting recognition, My-T-Touch keyboard, etc., as near as I can tell).

I first found references to it on Aqcess Technologies' site for their QBE touchscreen computer (www.qbenet.com). I found that page after doing a web search for sites referring to My-T-Pen or M-T-Touch. From there I found this page that includes downloads (not sure if they are useable on a CF-01, or if they're just upgraded drivers and won't actually install any software). I then found more info onthis page from the manufacturer (now a division of 3M).

Before I start randomly downloading/installing stuff that may or may not work or screw up my machine, has anyone been down this road before? (Okay, call me cautious, or lazy. )

bus_depot: I think that the MicroTouch software (Touchware) is basically a driver for the Microtouch touchscreen controller. These drivers are very good and will support quite a few non-MicroTouch controllers. I've never seen handwriting reconition or onscreen keyboards on any of the software that I've downloaded. The drivers may work on the CF-01 (I haven't tried this) and may provide some added funtionality. I would back up the machine before installing them to be safe.

Electronics run on smoke, if you let the smoke out they won't work

I am currently trying. First removed all pen drivers. I had installed
CIC but it was locking up when configuring. I am assuming that CF-01 touch screen is using PS-2 port, eh?

It appears to be looking for a Microtouch controller. Tried the
PS-2 and serial mode of installation. Both do not work. CIC installs
ok for me but locks up when I try to configure it although the touch
screen appears to function ok...

Did you try the download from the qbenet.com site or from the manufacturer's site? The instructions on the qbe.com site mentioned the ability to "custom install" specific parts. Maybe just the CIC or other pertinent features, rather than everything? Did you find any reference to My-T-Touch or My-T-Pen in what you downloaded? QBE mentions it as being part of the included software but I don't know if it is actually part of that download.

Only options mentioned during setup of both versions is serial port connectivity to mts. Does your CIC let you train HW recognition? Mine locks. I am at 98SE, 40 Megs & SCITECH drivers.
