| I can't believe I'm watching a movie on here!!! Out of idle curiosity, I wondered if Divx playback would work. It was a pain, but it works. I'm using GDivx and the Divx Mpeg-4 Video Codec. I installed Winamp on it, so I already had an mp3 codec. However, I don't have an audio pcmcia card, so I can't verify if it works. I can't get it to output sound to the internal speaker, though. Any ideas on this? GDivx requires the VBRun libraries, MS Common Dialog Controls, and MS DirectX media. All this stuff can be downloaded from: http://www.divxity.com/download.php Playback quality isn't exactly the greatest, and there's a little ghosting on the image. However, I managed to watch a 240x160 with 48 kbps mp3 sound. I encoded the movie with a data rate of 135 kbps and a framerate of 23.976. I imagine higher resolutions, better sound quality, etc. would run OK to a certain limit. | |
