Yes, I did quite alot of searching and reading of various threads involving the backlite issue. My request was about using a screen saver that will turn off the backlite as well as blanking the screen. My device hibernates just fine (backlite off). I DO NOT want to hibernate, suspend, or power-save. I just want a standard Windows-based screen saver that will not only blank the screen, but will also turn off the backlite. With that, I can resume operations immediately without having to wait for the system to restore the stored information.
