Panasonic CF-01 vs. Mitsubishi Amity VP vs. Fujitsu 1200

I am new to the web pad market and wondering which machine would be best. I think I have narrowed my search to these models; the Panasonic CF-01, the Mitsubishi Amity VP, and the Fujitsu 1200.
The main uses that I am looking for are a wireless web pad, digital photo album, and possibly a digital image tank.
Initially I will run it under Winblows but would eventally plan to use Linux. Which distribution would you recommend?
Right now I think that I like the features of the Panasonic CF-01 and the Mitsubishi Amity VP the best. Ideally I would like to spend only $125 to $150.
Which one would you recommend?

Thanks

I don't think you can get CF-01 under $150 because most of us paid $300+ for new units so no one will sell at that price. I just checked eBay, there are two Amity VPs available for $149 now. It has built-in sound which is missing from CF-01, RAM is up to 48MB (CF-01 is only up to 40MB) and about the same weight of CF-01(2.2 lb) with numeric keys. You may also get F1200 under $200. It is faster than CF-01 (P-200 vs AMD586-133 ~= P-75), up to 80 MB ram, but it is much heavier than CF-01 (4.4lb for F-1200). After I bought ProGear, I hardly use F1200. If I don't have ProGear, F-1200, CF-01 and T200, I will buy Amity VP at $150 right away.

BTW 640x480 is not as good as my ProGear 1024x768 to surf on the net.

What do you think is a good price for a used ProGear?
It may be worth it for me to get something that is just a little more powerful than the VP, CF-01 or the F1200. Are there any other machines that I should look at?

I got my ProGear SE for $600 when SonicBlus cleared them up. I think you can get the used one around $700. Believe me, ProGear is slow which uses Transmeta TM3200 400MHz (~P-233). You can't play DivX or MPEG(barely) but only mp3. But 1024x768 is the killer, rotate the screen 90 degree and use Terminal Service/Cirtix/Remote DeskTop, sit on the sofa, you are ready to surf. If you just want to use your tablet as TS client, $150 for Mitsubishi Amity VP is the best buy, otherwise you pay a lot for the next level of tablet PCs.

I have also had a similar question. I was particularly interested in a digital photo album. I picked up a CF-01 for pretty cheap on Ebay. Its a nice machine, but I would not recommend it for a photo album. The screen is just not quite good enough. I looked at the Mitsubishi, and I didn't like that it didn't have a harddrive. I just picked up a Fujitsu 2300 for $350 on Ebay, we'll see how that works, but it supposed to have a real nice screen. That's more than you wanted to spend, but maybe you can get the 1200 in that price range.

How well would these work with mp3s? I would really like to do the same as the original poster but also play mp3s.

I teally like the looks of this one:

Toshiba Dynapad T-200, but I wonder if the 40 MHz processor would be up to mp3s?
