Has anyone tried any emulators?, like ZSNES?
It should run OK, the minimum is a 100MHz 486.
Outpost.com has a GREAT deal on the Gravis Stinger laptop gamepad. Serial port!! Only $17.95, some places sell it for $50.

I tried it and the screen refreshes too slow. The games are barely playable. Well, that was Mario Bros. Games like tetris would probably be ok, but games involving action arent too good. I was using a NES emulator, not SNES.
Wow, that's disappointing. I used to get decent animation out of my P100 I think, can't remember exactly. This must be a really lousy configuration performance wise then. But then again, maybe the emulator you tried has not been tweaked to the max? It may also be that they are optimized for Intel CPUs or MMX.
SiliconIce, I never heard of Zsnes before you mentioned it. I found it and installed it. The windows version isn't really playable. But the DOS version running in Windows is. There is some issues with it, but I have to admit playing Ms. Pacman was cool. I have the the panasonic sound card see the other thread. Since it really lacks DOS support there is no sound. Also when your playing a game and hit the ESC key to go back it locks up. We can probably tweak this and get it to work. Haven't played with it enough yet. Your dream is still alive
A lot of viable emulators and games for this machine will be DOS since Windows can't handle them at this low speed. This stinks, we need DOS sound support...
I think i said that wrong, I meant that the LCD screen, being a dual scan screen, wasn't very good for use with games like mario bros. the actual emulator ran just fine.
