A couple of Q's reg. Pen Services:

-can you use calligrapher and "disable" pen services writing functionality somehow.
-anyone know the reg hack to hide the mouse pointer, like was done on the ePODS?

As a former epods owner, i can definitely say this is what i wanted the epods to be. No limitations on apps and very fast (relative to epods) surfing.
Thought i'd share a bit about the pen services to help others doing the upgrade:

TO REMOVE HARD DRIVE, open up convenient slot by battery. I unfortunately took apart the whole sucker only to be
scared to death when i tried to later boot it up and there was no video (top and bottom must be securely together to link screen to MB).
Installed win98 in desktop using a 2.5 to 3.5 adapter.
copied cabs to 2.5 and moved it to cf-01 before it did the detecting hardware step.
to install pen services do this:
(i read in two threads, "used add/remove to get it going", but this is in dummy english....)

7) Once complete, Win95 will reboot the computer. After selecting the correct time zone and installing a printer, the Win95 desktop appears. Select the Start button, then Settings/Control Panel. In the Control panel, double click on Add/Remove Programs and press the Windows Setup tab. Click the HAVE DISK button, and select the floppy or directory containing the drivers from the OEM. A dialog should appear listing Pen Services for Windows 95. Click the box to the left of it to select it and press OK. Win95 will install the Pen Services and drivers, then warn that the machine must be rebooted. Click OK on this message and do a Start/Shut Down, then select Reboot the Computer and click on Yes.
